Marylyn XIANG

Lecturer & Consultant, Data Science Practice

Profile

Marylyn Xiang joins NUS-ISS with more than 15 years of experience in the IT industry, spanning adult training, curriculum management, data and AI centre operations, system applications, project management, and supply chain.

At NUS-ISS, Marylyn teaches Master’s Degree courses in Data Science Practice and delivers Executive Education programmes for working professionals, including Data Storytelling, Statistics for Business, Data Management for Analytics, and Business Analytics. Before joining the Data Science team, she led curriculum management in collaboration with GovTech’s Digital Academy, overseeing the development and delivery of courses and milestone programmes for leaders and directors across multiple domains. She also played a key role in training and onboarding new facilitators.

Prior to NUS-ISS, Marylyn was with IBM Singapore, where she contributed to the SkillsFuture digital transformation programme. As a lead instructor, she curated and taught courses in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Design Thinking, Cloud Computing, and Digital Transformation to mid-career professionals, in-house employees, and public-sector learners. In addition, she managed the curriculum team, maintaining the course catalogue and related knowledge repositories, mapping offerings to customers’ competency frameworks, and implementing corrective actions to enhance learning impact.

Earlier in her career, Marylyn worked with IBM China for nearly a decade before transferring to IBM Singapore.
