Lead Curriculum Development cum Instructor, Digital Academy Services

Profile

Marylyn Xiang joins NUS-ISS with more than 15 years of experience in the IT industry, encompassing adult training, curriculum management, data and AI center expertise, system applications, project management, and supply chain operations.

At NUS-ISS, Marylyn plays a vital role of the leader of curriculum management collaborating with GovTech digital academy services. She is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of digital academy courses and milestone programmes for leaders and directors in various areas. Additionally, she actively teaches the Data Science-related courses, including Data Storytelling, Statistics for Business, Data Management for Analytics, Business Analytics, etc. Marylyn is also diligently involved in training new facilitators.

Prior to joining NUS-ISS, she was with IBM Singapore, responsible for the SkillsFuture digital transformation programme, and trained mid-careerists with the new technology of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Design Thinking, Cloud Computing, and Digital Transformation to assist in their new career paths. As a lead instructor, she has curated courses and trained learners from in-house employees and public and government sectors with different skills. In addition, she also managed the curriculum team in maintaining a repository of information relating to the course catalogue and curriculum, including mapping the course catalogue to customers’ competency framework and corrective action to enhance better learning impact.

She also worked in IBM China for close to 10 years during the earlier part of her career before inter-country transfer to IBM Singapore.
